Crop Science

This department develops activities in the areas of Irrigation; Crop Modeling; Organic Agriculture; Weed Science; Horticulture (Flower Crops, Fruit Crops; Landscaping and Olericulture); Medicinal and Aromatic Plants; Production, Analysis and Processing of Seeds; other crops: Soybean, Corn, Sugarcane, Cotton, Rice, Wheat, Barley, Common Bean, Sorghum, Cassava, Sunflower, Peanut, Rubber Tree and Coffee. It offers undergraduate courses for programs in Agriculture, Forestry, Biological Sciences and Food Science. Its faculty participates in a graduate program in Crop Science.
