Animal Science

This department develops activities and projects involving all major species of economic interest such as dairy and beef cattle, swine, sheep, goats, horses, fish and poultry in a wide range of areas including Animal Feeding and Nutrition; Feed Composition; Genetics and Animal Breeding; Production Systems; Animal Reproduction and Management; Animal Physiology; Milk Quality; Animal Biotechnology; Forage and Pasture Crops. It offers undergraduate courses in Agriculture and Biological Sciences. Its faculty participates in a graduate program in Animal Science and Pastures.
