ESALQ signs academic agreement with the University of Nebraska – Lincoln

ESALQ signs academic agreement with the University of Nebraska – Lincoln On June 1st, in Lincoln, USA, the “Luiz de Queiroz” College of Agriculture (ESALQ) from the University of São Paulo (USP) and the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln established an international academic agreement for exchange of students and faculty from both institutions as well as to carry out joint research projects in the areas of agriculture and natural resources. The document was signed by the Dean of USP/ESALQ, José Vicente Caixeta Filho, and the rector of the University of Nebraska, Harvey Perlman.

The purpose of the agreement was discussed at a workshop held on last December 1-2, 2011, in Piracicaba, coordinated by the President of International Activities (CAINT) and vice-dean of ESALQ, Marisa Aparecida Bismara Regitano d 'Arce. During the workshop, about 30 faculty members and 10 representatives from ESALQ and IANR exchanged information on issues related to the expertise of each institution, defining priority research areas of common interest.
